RasaSetu
Terms for school owners
Effective from 15 November 2026
Who these terms are for
These terms apply when you create or run a school on RasaSetu, and to every school admin you add. "We" and "us" mean RasaSetu. "Your school" means the school site, its admin area and everything you publish on it.
Your students use your school under its own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are linked in your school's footer.
Your account and your school
Give accurate details when you sign up and keep your contact email current. We send bills, launch decisions and service notices there.
You are responsible for what happens under your school, including the actions of the school admins you add. Keep your password private and remove admin access from people who no longer need it.
A new school is private until we approve it to launch. We may ask for changes before approving it, or decline a school that doesn't meet these terms. A draft school whose owner never verifies their email is deleted after 48 hours.
Your content
You keep ownership of the lessons, videos, images, text and other material you upload.
You allow RasaSetu to store, encode, stream and display that material to run your school, and to show your school's name, logo, description and course details in the RasaSetu school directory and search. This permission ends when your school is closed, except for copies we must keep by law.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you publish, including recorded music, compositions, choreography and artwork, and the consent of anyone who appears in your videos or photos.
Don't publish anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove such material and will tell you when we do.
Students and their payments
You teach your students and decide your courses, plans and prices. You are responsible for answering their questions, handling their refund requests under your school's Refund Policy, and meeting any tax and invoicing obligations on the fees you collect.
Students pay your school through your own Razorpay account. Your agreement with Razorpay governs those payments and Razorpay's fees, which are deducted from your account. We don't hold student payments for you. Once you connect Razorpay, online payments stay on for your school.
For students who pay you in cash or UPI, you record their enrollment and the plan they pay you for in your admin area.
The platform fee
Setting up your school is free. After launch, your school pays RasaSetu 10% of the fees your students pay you each month.
The first 10 schools to launch pay 5% for their first 12 billed months, then 10%. We confirm founding eligibility when we approve your launch. Creating a school doesn't reserve a founding place.
The fee is calculated on the full student payment, before Razorpay's fee. US dollar payments are counted at the rupee value Razorpay reports for them.
For each student who pays you in cash or UPI, the fee applies to the price of the plan you assigned them for every month they have access, whether or not they paid you in that month.
Refunds of earlier months' payments are credited against the month of the refund. A bill can't go below zero, and unused credit isn't carried forward.
Your first billed period is the first full month after launch. We bill your school on the 1st for the previous month, and the bill is due within 7 days. You can pay through auto-pay, the payment link on the bill, or bank transfer.
Lesson video storage is included. If your library exceeds 100 hours, we'll contact you to discuss fair use. There is no automatic storage charge.
We'll email your school admins at least 30 days before we change the platform fee. A change doesn't shorten a founding term you already have.
Late bills
While a bill is overdue, existing students keep their access and their subscriptions keep renewing, but your school can't take new students and is hidden from the school directory.
If a bill stays unpaid after we've reminded you, we may suspend your school until it's paid.
Student information
Your students' accounts, progress, submissions and payment records are stored on our platform so your school can work. You are responsible to your students for how your school uses their information.
Use student information only to teach and support your students and run your school. Don't download it to sell or share it.
RasaSetu uses student information to provide the service, keeps it secure, and doesn't sell it. Students can download or delete their data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Don't try to access another school's data or a student's account without permission, interfere with the platform's security, or use it to send spam.
Don't use your school to sell anything other than your teaching and related services.
Suspension and closing your school
We may suspend a school that breaks these terms, puts students at risk, or has an unpaid bill after reminders. A suspended school's site and admin area are offline until we reactivate it. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem first.
You can ask us to close your school at any time by writing to support@rasasetu.com. When a school closes, its site, admin area, lessons and registration stop working, active student subscriptions are cancelled, and its web address isn't reused. Bills for months before the closure are still payable.
We keep payment and audit records for as long as the law requires. If you want a copy of your content, ask before you close your school.
The service
We work to keep the platform available and your content safe, but we can't promise uninterrupted service. It relies on third-party providers for payments, video and email.
We may improve or change features. We'll give you notice of changes that significantly reduce what your school can do.
To the extent the law allows, RasaSetu isn't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or students, and our total liability to you is limited to the platform fees your school paid in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
We'll email your school admins at least 30 days before significant changes to these terms take effect. If you keep using the platform after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can close your school before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
